Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

“Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be.”
Rita Pierson, Teacher

All Saints Church of England Primary School is a fully inclusive school that celebrates diversity and believes that all children should be valued and treated with respect. We focus on high aspirations and improving outcomes for all our pupils. It is the belief of every member of staff in school that every child, including those with any form of Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, should have fair and equal access to an appropriate curriculum that is designed to raise expectations and attainment and prepare the individual for life. We endeavour to implement the very best for all pupils in our school.

We welcome everybody into our community and at the heart of our school is our belief that we are

‘A united, caring community of learners’.

We recognise that each child brings an individual set of abilities to school and needs an environment in which these can be fostered and grow.  All children are individuals and find some things easier than others. Some children may require extra help. Our aim is to make sure that all children get the help they need.

We hope the information provided will help you to understand the variety of ways in which we are able to support your child to succeed in their education and make a successful transition to secondary school. This information aims to be clear and easy to understand. However, if you prefer to talk to a member of staff, the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Co-ordinator at All Saints is Mrs Phillips, to speak to her, please contact the school on 01274 415222.

SEN Complaints

Any complaints from parents of children with special educational needs (SEN) about the support the school provides should be referred in the first instance to the Headteacher, Mrs Shaw, who can be contacted via the school office.
