P.E.
‘An active mind cannot exist in an inactive body. Physical Education makes every child stronger and every life longer.’
General George S. Patton
At All Saints Church of England Primary School, we aim to inspire all children and for each child to fulfil their potential. We want the children’s experience of PE to be positive and motivating. PE enables pupils to become physically confident. This supports their health, wellbeing and fitness and provides the foundations for lifelong activity. We want them to succeed and excel in competitive sport and physical activities. We offer all children chances to compete in sport and other activities. This helps them build character and learn values such as fairness and respect. Through PE, we develop children’s knowledge, skills and understanding. They build confidence and competence in a range of activities.
In addition to this, we also share the views and aspirations of Swim England, that swimming is a sport that anyone and everyone can enjoy throughout their lives. We value the importance of swimming not only as a sport and valuable form of exercise, but also for its importance as a life-saving skill. We endeavour to ensure that all children have the best opportunity to develop their confidence and capabilities in and around water, as we believe that this is vital to children’s safety, health and happiness.

All Saints achieves Gold School Games Mark! 🎉🏅
We are delighted to announce that we, All Saints CE Primary School, have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and in the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success. This prestigious award recognises the hard work of our staff and pupils in promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and providing a wide range of sporting opportunities for all children. From competitive tournaments to inclusive sports events and daily physical activity, we are proud of everything our pupils have achieved.
A huge thank you to our amazing children for their enthusiasm and effort, and to our staff and families for your continued support.
Here's to even more sport, teamwork and triumphs ahead! Keep moving, keep playing, keep reaching for gold! 🏅
We look forward to applying once again in 2026!
